Background:

The Tangail Cotton Mills Ltd. Located at Tangail, adjacent to the Dhaka-Tangail Highway with a total area of the Tangail mill being 27.29 Acres. All the existing structure and machineries conditions are unusable and obsolete It ought to be dismantled and treated as like a plain land/ field. BTMC expects to establish a Composite Green Textile with Apparel and backward linkage.

Objective:
  • Utilization of barren lands.
  • Satisfaction of mass employment and rising industrialization demands.
  • Establishment of a Composite Green Textile with Apparel and backward linkage with joint venture and PPP

 
Status:
Procurement Stage (Bidding Phase) ongoing since CCEA approval on 07 February 2018, hindered by a writ petition filed in the Hon'ble High Court resulting in a status-quo order; BTMC actively pursuing expedited resolution of legal proceedings. Due to legal proceedings the tendering process has been suspended.
