Short Biography of CEO (Secretary)

Mr Muhammad Ibrahim has joined Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) of Prime Minister's Office as its Chief Executive Officer on 07 April 2022.

He was promoted to the rank of Secretary to the Government on 06 April 2022.

Mr Muhammad Ibrahim is a member of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) since April 1993. He has worked in all three tires of field administration namely upazila, district and division. He has served a term in the Embassy of Bangladesh in Bahrain as the First Secretary (Labour). In the Secretariat, he has served in the Ministries of Health and Family Welfare, Water Resources, Land, Labour, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment and the Local Government Division in capacities of Senior Assistant Secretary to Additional Secretary. He has 29 years of experience in working with public policies, especially on local government, overseas employment and migration, health, water resources, and water-sanitation-hygiene (WASH). He has spent considerable amount of time in managing mega-projects in water and sanitation sector.

Mr Muhammad Ibrahim hails from Dhaka city. He is married to Ms Nadia Kohinoor and has two daughters. He received his Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from University of Dhaka. While he was pursuing his Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance, he was selected for Bangladesh Civil Service. He left his studies incomplete and joined civil service. Later, he completed his Master of Science (MSc) as well as Post Graduate Diploma in Health Economics from the Institute of Health Economics, University of Dhaka and the Centre for Health Economics, University of York in the United Kingdom.

Mr Muhammad Ibrahim enjoys travelling and plays cricket and golf. History, diplomacy, economics and aviation are his areas of interest.
