Background: |
Central Effluent Treatment Plant is the concept of treating effluents by means of a collective effort mainly for a cluster of small-scale industrial units. The main objective of CETP is to reduce the treatment cost for individual units while protecting the environment.
Centralized Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) including the effluent network and re-use water pipeline at Zone 2A of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN).

Objective: |
The main objective of the project is :
• Enhancing predictability of future treatment values, improving planning and decision-making processes.
• Ensuring compliance with discharge standards, thereby enhancing environmental performance and regulatory compliance.
• Establishing thresholds to facilitate proactive management and system optimization.
• Minimizing operating costs by reducing chemical usage, leading to potential cost savings and improved economic efficiency.
• Maintaining enhanced control over wastewater quality through continuous seeding of microorganisms, ensuring consistent and superior treatment performance.
• Develop a world-class project for BTMC in terms of advanced construction technologies, safety and security based on seismic design principles and ecologically sustainable green construction principles.
