Background:
Jhilmil city development is one of the pioneer initiatives of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) to accommodate the increasing population with modern amenities and civil facilities. To reduce population pressure and growing traffic congestion in Dhaka city the project will contribute a lot. Jhilmil residential project has been proposed to be developed over 100 acres of land with approximately 15000 apartments. The project will also cover school, parks, shopping malls etc.
Objective:
The objectives of this project are:
  • To reduce population pressure
  • To improve civil facilities
  • Ro reduce growing traffic congestion
Project Scope:
Jhilmil Residential is situated on the other bank of the river Burigonga on about 381 acres of land for a projected population of 2 lacs. Land, Road Development work etc. are already completed. BNG Global Holdings, Malaysia submitted an unsolicited proposal to RAJUK for development of 15000 apartment over 100 acres of land in 42 months in Jhilmil RA under a PPP model that RAJUK forwarded of PPP Office for processing as an unsolicited PPP proposal.
