The Public Private Partnership (PPP) Office under the Prime Minister’s Office, Government of Bangladesh has recently selected Feedback Infra (P) Limited, India for providing the transaction advisory services for development of international standard tourism complex at the site of existing Motel Upol, owned by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) in Cox’s Bazar. The agreement was signed between PPP Office and Feedback Infra on 16th August 2015. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), PPP Office and Feedback Infra respectively.
Cox’s Bazar, with its longest natural beach in the world, holds a strategic location with respect to South East Asia and has immense potential for development as a beach and eco-tourist hub in the region. BPC, the implementation agency for this project, owns ~6 acres of land parcel in Cox’s Bazar opposite to its upcoming beachfront International Entertainment and Tourism Complex and currently operates a 24 key motel at the site. BPC is now looking at re-development of this site as an international standard tourism and hospitality project aimed at meeting the growing needs of tourists in Cox’s Bazar.
This project forms part of a number of PPP projects undertaken by the PPP Office in tourism sector in Bangladesh. The PPP model will enable private sector participation in the tourism industry, while bringing best-in-class technical, design, financing, construction and operations & maintenance capabilities.

Feedback will assist BPC in undertaking detailed feasibility study, development of a suitable PPP structure and carry out bid process management for selection of the private partner for implementation of this project. Feedback will perform detailed market study, site analysis, technical studies to arrive at the most optimum project concept and configuration.
